Introduction

AR DevCamp Zurich is a full day of information sessions, discussions and hacking opportunities in an open format, BarCamp style to which all interested people and organizations are warmly invited.

February 28 Evening No-host dinner

If you are arriving in Zurich on Feb 28 (or live in Zurich), and would like to meet with other people who are registered and planning to attend the AR DevCamp on Monday March 1, please feel welcome to join us at the Crazy Cow Restaurant beginning at 19h00. The Crazy Cow restaurant address is Leonhardstrasse 1 and it is just up the hill/road from the Haldenegg tram stop for lines 6, 7, 10 and 15.

Everyone will pay for their own meal and drinks.

Planning

The purpose of this page is to organize an AR DevCamp in Zurich.

We have a sponsor for the venue (facility): IBM Forum in Zurich-Altstetten. Many thanks to Sid Arora for arranging the IBM Forum Auditorium for us!

Draft Agenda

Since the DevCamp is an "unconference" the topics of the sessions will be determined by the participants' interest and the availability of session leaders. To guide planning and participation, please note the tentative agenda below.

Format

The event will be informal. There will be some pre-planned sessions but the participants are expected to shape the agenda to meet their needs.

Language: English to permit and encourage international participation

Special feature with MobileMonday Switzerland

From 16h00 to 18h00 on Monday, March 1, 2010 MobileMonday Switzerland will conduct a special event designed to permit the public and all mobile industry professionals to experience Mobile Augmented Reality first hand.

The Hands On Augmented Reality sessions will be led by friendly and experienced AR Tour Guides. Demonstrations will feature outdoor as well as indoor (object and image-based) Augmented Reality.

Following the Hands On Augmented Reality sessions, all participants of AR Dev Camp and MobileMonday Hands On AR sessions are invited to professional networking at a public venue in the old city of Zurich.

This joint DevCamp and MobileMonday event will be an opportunity to meet up with colleagues, developers, faculty and anyone interested in Augmented Reality.
